The everyday edit has got to me! So for the ingredient list on the "Nut Cheese" portion, I put the "Cheese Sauce" recipe up instead! Eeek! The recipes are all correct in the original videos, which I have linked in the description box, but here's the recipe for the Nut Cheese down below 🙂

    Vegan Nut Cheese
    (Makes 4-5 ramekins) from EssentialVegan

1 + 3/4 cups unsweetened soya milk (or non-dairy milk)
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons agar powder (https://amzn.to/2CWQoAV)
1/2 cup cashew nut, soak overnight
    1/4 cup nutritional yeast (https://amzn.to/2seAKuB)
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    Handful of thyme
    2 tablespoons white miso (https://amzn.to/2SImVjH)
    1 tablespoon lemon juice

Don't try to substitute. If you want cheese, eat cheese. If you don't want cheese, then eat grass.

  • Connie Sawatzky on July 31, 2019

Made this yesterday. I double checked all my ingredients. Followed video. I didn't get it to gel into a loaf like texture like shown in the video. Checked my cook time to 5 min, once it started to gel. It never got past a sticky stretchy gel. Any idea or suggestions on what I did wrong? Thanks!

    Too much talking 🙄

  • Awakened Woman on July 31, 2019

I love cheese, but I'm trying to cut out dairy. Thank you for these recipes.

  • Noam Haim on July 31, 2019

THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING AND SO SO SO HELPFULL

  • Ryan on July 31, 2019

I hate to say this, but the audio is very low even through my bt speakers. Awesome video but it's just hard to hear

  • Dan Hansen on July 31, 2019

Too much talk… boring, I give up!

  • El Yoda on July 31, 2019

Love the ideas, however I would not recommend to anyone to include "Yogurt" as part of the recipe since it's the leading cause for women's breast cancer. It's ironic how the "American Cancer Society" is being funded by Yoplait.

  • Megan Allyce on July 31, 2019

    This is EVERYTHING 👍👍👍

  • Rogue Angel on July 31, 2019

  • Nalani Demei on July 31, 2019

Thank you for sharing!!! Great video

  • tomie 22 on July 31, 2019

Lactose intolerant people don't react to grass fed raw milk from organic pastures. I wonder why it's illegal to sell raw milk? Is it because it causes no digestion issues and no allergies? Causing people to buy less pharmaceuticals? Hmmmmmmm

  • tomie 22 on July 31, 2019

If being vegan is hard because you crave cheese then maybe it's because your diet is lacking in nutrients and is deficient.

  • Loreen McIntosh on July 31, 2019

Just came across. This is great. Can I use a nutribullet?

  • Detective Jubes on July 31, 2019

The bread is in the shape of Italy and it’s adorable.

  • Neil PlaysGuitar_YT on July 31, 2019

do you know what else taste like cheese?
    cheese.
do you know what else taste like meat?
    meat.
    veganism= malnutrition.
    Stop leaving yourself being malnourished.
    Go vegan and die!

  • Wanda Holt on July 31, 2019

I am allergic to cow's milk so I want to experiment making some vegan cheese. I tried some from the store and it is not very good. Sometimes you just need something cheese-like.

  • cozy cas on July 31, 2019

I'm lactose intolerant so thank you for this!

  • Abigail Love on July 31, 2019

  • Parth Chopra on July 31, 2019

Thanks so much for the video! I always thought vegan cheeses weren't easy to do, but you helped it seem a lot more accessible 🙂 cheers.

  • Megan The Bitch on July 31, 2019

I’m allergic to nuts so it’s hard for me to find vegan cheese 🙁

  • The Stopper on July 31, 2019

The richest 'nut milk' we've ever had is Macadamia Milk – not sure how available it is outside of Australia, but a Macadamia Latte is basically like a dessert. (I drink espresso – the Macadamia Lattes are for The Lovely ).

It's priced similarly to other non-dairy milks (our local supermarket has a staggering array now – soy, almond, rice, oat, and cashew) so I might use a litre of The Lovely 's stash to try a cheez recipe, because store-bought non-dairy cheeses are pretty hopeless.

I think I read somewhere that Macadamias are the highest-fat nut that there is; no sure if that's relevant to the cheez-making process. To re-hash a quote from the Life of Brian : blessed are the cheez-makers.

  • Anna Collins on July 31, 2019

Can you use cornstarch for thickener instead of Agar?

  • Christelle Calixte on July 31, 2019

the food looks disgusting i must admit. i guess i won't go vegan.. not that i wanted to

  • PeaceLoveAndRico on July 31, 2019

Do you know if you can use aqua gaba intead of milk? Blending it would lend creaminess from the emulsion, even some viscosity. Maybe (?)

  • Vegan Earthling on July 31, 2019

    Awesome!

  • Madison Faeolin on July 31, 2019

-Can i mix agar agar and tapioca starch in the same cheese?
    (I want to make raw cashew-cheese with lemon'juice, salt, agar-agar and tapioca-starch.)

-Can agar-agar and tapioca-starch be eaten raw or do i need to heat treat them somehow?

  • Home Love on July 31, 2019

Love all of your content! If you ever need an idea, may I suggest sweet potatoes? I found some Chinese recipes with sweet potato plus glutinous rice flour making some sort of breakfast patties?
Also, I am always on the lookout for something low-fat, healthy and satiating that can be made the day before and enjoyed cold at school/work (lunchbox). Those poor kids don't have access to a microwave where we live.

  • thic waffles on July 31, 2019

    I'm lactose intolerant and i l o v e this! 🤠❤

  • E Pearson on July 31, 2019

thanks for this video! If I may interject… Nutritional yeast is not really similar to real bread yeast. People can get really sick from eating that. Nutritional yeast grows on molasses and is totally dead. It doesn't affect people with Candida issues (unless you're allergic to mold)

  • rpowling on July 31, 2019

All of these look delicious! I cant wait to try some of these recipes. I was given a vitamix for xmas, and am reaaaally looking forward to making better nut milks and “dairy” type stuff. Yum yum YUM

  • lolita cholita on July 31, 2019

have you ever watched any of ochikeron's vegan videos?

  • Edina Kurdi on July 31, 2019

I haven’t come across those brands for milk you mentioned looking forward to trying them out. By the way for me the milkiest milk is coconut almond blend. 🙂 but also a good quality coconut milk. (Forgot their name but they are £3 a litre so only buy them when discounted)
Super enjoying these cheesy vids!!!! Thank you so much for your ideas! 💚😋🤤💚

  • Jeremiah Dicks on July 31, 2019

Can you make the mochi cheese without agar?

  • Annaliese D on July 31, 2019

Awesome! Thank you for working so hard to bring us these amazing recipes! 🙂 Btw… you listed the ingredients for the vegan cheese sauce when you show the clip of the nut cheese at 5:18!

  • Steven Sandberg on July 31, 2019

Any way I can swap out the oil?

  • veGieSeitan on July 31, 2019

I've become accustomed to living without cheese substitutes but there are just some recipes where omitting it isn't an option. So that you for these recipes. Btw, you place list of the ingredients for the cheese sauce with video for the hard cheese.

  • snake asmr on July 31, 2019

In love with your videos ❤️❤️😍🥰

  • Rebecca's Makeup on July 31, 2019

I know you're doing cheese week right now… But would you be up for trying to make a vegan jiggly cheesecake? Love your videos btw!!

  • kommentator on July 31, 2019

Your cheese will be much smoother if you use a Vitamix. I have the Vitamix S30 which is super comfortable because you can unscrew the blades, so it's very easy to take out all the cheese. Very recommended!
