Drunk Utah man falls into Christmas tree before shooting at roommate, roommate’s son: police

A 57-year-old Utah man who was so drunk he needed to be helped again to mattress after falling into a Christmas tree, paid again his roommate’s kindness by opening fireplace on the person and his son, police mentioned.

Randal Weed Dickinson was charged with a number of crimes for knowingly making an attempt to trigger the demise of his roommate and the roommate’s relative in a Dec. 9 incident in Francis, FOX13 Salt Lake Metropolis reported, citing courtroom paperwork.

Dickinson’s roommate advised police Dickinson had been ingesting all day and was “so drunk he fell right into a Christmas tree,” in response to the station. The roommate and his son, neither of whom had been recognized, reportedly escorted Dickinson to his room so he may sleep the intoxication off.

When the roommate and his son went exterior to smoke a cigarette, they mentioned they heard what seemed like a gun going off. That is when the pair mentioned they noticed Dickinson firing at them, getting off 16 pictures earlier than the roommate and his son may pin Dickinson till police arrived, KUTV reported.

Police famous Dickinson seemed to be intoxicated on the time of the incident, the station reported.

Dickinson was charged with two counts of tried homicide, one depend of possession of a firearm by a restricted individual, 16 counts of felony discharge of a firearm, one depend of carrying a harmful weapon whereas underneath the affect and one depend of intoxication.
