We will not be voting for u again 100%

As much as we would love to be in the beach, I applaud the fact that the beaches are not open yet. Some seem to think that looting will not happen here, please open your eyes and look around you. It takes one to start violence and we sure don't have the desire and strength to deal with trouble. I saw a couple of people yesterday cursing and yelling at the passing cars. Let's keep in prayer and ask the Lord to help us all!

Mayor you are not the governor

  • Cameron Shayne on June 3, 2020

You'll have hundreds of "ambassadors"? hahahaha! What a complete joke you are sir. No beaches? No health studios in the middle of a public health crisis? You are truly a tool.

  • Matthew Mills on June 3, 2020

Keep in mind if you live on the beach and work in the hospitality industry, this is the man who destroyed your livelihood, literally, as he continued getting paid-and all because of one thing-liability, which NEVER EVER trumps(no pun intended) your Bill of Rights. He did this with an overall infection fatality rate of .26% ACCORDING to CDC with the fatality rate in Dade being .14%……….meaning even if you do test positive with this virus, your chance of survival is over 99%, and it's now known that those who ended their lockdowns earlier have had less infection as it is terrible for the immune system to be cooped up inside weeks on end wiping down everything inside. Instead, you need to be out in open air in the sunshine where the body can build up immunity with vitamin D, not tear it down. Our leaders are absolutely clueless and don't care about you at ALL as evidenced by the mayor's actions. Some of you may eventually recover, but many of you won't at all-it's over for you thanks to him. Now, you could turn to abuse, alcoholism, suicide and poverty as a fall back. The thought never crossed his mind even once, because remember, he must protect himself, first, at all costs above all else. He's first, and your last-simple as that. Keep that in mind during election season next time you go to the polls.

Everyone is using statistics, but no one is verifying if the source of these numbers are correct. Hospitals are incentivized to diagnose covid without actual testing… Politicians want more social unrest…

  • Martha Moreno on June 3, 2020

Please take care, Miami beach is easy to those actions.

  • Hans Morgenstern on June 3, 2020

OMG, open the beach already. Give people something to do. No one will loot the beach.

  • Eric Gavara on June 3, 2020

That's what happens when u vote DEMS never use common sense we need younger people to get infected we know that there is no vaccine so what wait 18 stupid month ???

  • David Richardson on June 3, 2020

WE have had enough! The residents have done a tremendous job too. Funny how the stuff that gets you money is open, but the free stuff isn't. You got more police keeping things closed that you would need if it was open. Giminez never had a curfew during the Pandemic, but now we got curfew to protect us from Black people. You really think they are going to March all over the county to beaches where there is nothing to steal? Just take half the amount of police and block the Eastbound McArthur and save money there. Then you won't need cops on the beach. You can redeploy them from parking lots and the beach to businesses and neighborhoods

***On April 23rd, the greatest lab in the world at Fort Dietrick Maryland announced at the highest office in the land that Covid19 cannot survive 90 seconds of direct sunlight. Why are the beaches still closed 5 weeks later? Based on what science?***

I am sick of this guy treating me like a schoolkid and telling me what I can and cannot do.
The beach not open is stupid. The beach opening delayed because of the riots and looting is stupid. What they are going to do? burn the watch towers, loot the sand?
You and the rest of the pricks in power in the United States do not understand that while you are in your cushy offices, getting paid by our tax dollars and playing your power games, we are not only going broke, we are going insane.
You have forced us all to live the moment. What was good for Monday on a Sunday is not good anymore and we have to patiently put up with you and listen to your heavily edited rant and accept it like sheep. Because you know better.
Well stuff you. I wish I had the guts and temerity to disobey, but I do not want to end up with a knee on my neck.
You all guys fail to realize that a lot of the rioting and looting of the last few days is because people are fed up with all of you and your perverse management of 'what can only be described as being caught with your pants down.
Yes, because you ignored the f*cking pandemic til it was too late.
