KABUL (Reuters) – Two U.S. service members have been killed in Afghanistan on Friday whereas conducting an operation, the NATO-led Resolute Help mission mentioned in a press release.
It gave no additional particulars and withheld the names of the service members till subsequent of kin have been knowledgeable.
The U.S. army’s mission is concentrated on guiding and aiding Afghan forces battling the Taliban, who have been ousted from energy in 2001.
Violence has been relentless in Afghanistan though Taliban militants have held a number of rounds of talks with U.S. officers a few peace settlement.
The most recent talks wrapped up this month with each side citing progress, however no settlement to finish the 17-year warfare.
The Resolute Help Mission consists of 17,000 troops, about half of them from america.
