YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki will converse on the Lesbians Who Code convention in San Francisco Friday at 1:15 p.m. ET, at some point after her firm determined to disable feedback on most movies that includes minors in an effort to curb predatory habits.
The Google-owned firm confronted backlash from advertisers who halted spending on the platform throughout the previous couple weeks following stories that pedophiles used coded feedback to alert one another to situations of suggestive photographs that includes youngsters in seemingly harmless movies. AT&T, Hasbro, Disney, Mattel and Nestle have been among the many firms who pulled their advertisements from the platform.
